LindaInNJ- You're exactly right. Janet Cho- could you post some resources for those employees if you have them? Even if it's just the phone number or website for how they make a claim? Let's hope they get quick help since this is clearly nothing they did, or deserved. They didnt' miss manage their money, the company did.

In a perfect world, everything would be status quo here and then I absoultely think Obama going to help a US city win an olympic bid is the right move. But with everything this country is facing right now, I think Oprah and Michelle could have handled this. Oh well, you live and you learn and every president makes mistakes. I do feel like he needs to work a little harder to separate himself from Chicago and represent us all, cause all his focus on Chicago does make me feel like the middle child who has to play for attention. I just want him to remember he represents us all now.

Don't we all benefit from the revenue? Even if half the jobs go to someone that's not from here, they'll move here, so that means real estate and consumer money coming in, which seems good for the city. And if those jobs go to "experienced" workers from out of state, it's still going to create other jobs: cooks, janitorial, servers, etc that would be easily accessable to in-state people. It just seems like at the end of the day, it's going to boost our economy in many ways, and the city needs a new life. We can't just be the city with the Rock Hall and the forlorn but die-hard sports fans forever.
